REO Engine

The REO  showed up here in pieces. This one will require a lot of work. REO engines are a little different. First, they run “backwards”. That is to say counterclockwise. They do this because power is taken not from the crankshaft as in most engines, but from the camshaft which rotates opposite the crank and at half the speed. They also have only one lobe on the camshaft that actuates both valves. A unique rocker arm setup is what allows the valves to be opened and closed at the right time.
