This little part is the part that attaches a handle to a shade to run it up and down. It would have been printed on the SLA printer, if it worked. Instead, I reworked the design for the FDM printer to print a part for casting in resin. It was a little tricky to get it modeled. It is also, by far, the most complex part I’ve cast. It’s also been a few years since I’ve cast anything. All my resin has expired and set up. This part required a 3 part mold to get all the features I wanted. I still have to drill a cross-hole after casting. It was a long way to go to create this part, but it was a learning experience.
