Bench Block

A bench block is a useful tool for drilling, tapping, and driving pins. They are available commercially, but they are round. I wanted one with flats on each side so it could be held in a bench vise. The only logical solution was to make it myself. This was a fun, easy project. The small one was made first to prove the idea. It is a 1.25″ diameter block with holes ranging from 1/16″ to 5/16″.  The larger one is a 4″ diameter block with holes ranging from 1/4″ to 3/4″. Other sizes can be drilled as needed.
