Hex Nut
Machining a large flanged hex retaining nut used to hold a faucet together. I used a slightly unorthodox method of indexing the stock to cut the flats. I used the swivel base vise and indexed it 60 degrees and cut two opposing flats at a time. The thread is a 1 inch by 24 TPI. The internal threading required making a gauge to check the thread.
